Preliminary information: Firmware AOS 6.8 for EMA
We are pleased to announce the latest updates to the AOS firmware for EMA. This cumulative update package contains versions 6.6 to 6.8 and improves the integration with Microsoft 365 and increases the reliability of our solutions. In addition to these functional improvements, we have also fixed minor bugs and made various optimisations.
We strongly recommend installing this update package, which has undergone extensive testing and is approved for productive use in EMA. The update package is now available for manual installation and will be distributed automatically from 15 June 2024.

- Document access for delegates: Extended rights to view privately marked documents.
- HTTPS forwarding: Improved handling of configuration errors by suspending forced HTTPS forwarding when necessary.
Fixed Issues
- Document Display: Improved directional display for documents to ensure clear alignment.
- Caching with Hardware RAID: Improved behaviour in case of defective batteries for more reliability.
- IMAP Authentication with SSL: Fix authentication issues to improve security.
- Exchange Envelope Journaling: Correction of display errors with ARTEC Cloud Connector for better clarity.
- System Information Page: Display error fixed for appliance models with local cache based on a software RAID.
- Storage Groups: Fixed an issue that caused removed LUNs to be displayed after an automatic page reload.
- Replacement Appliances: Ensured welcome emails are delivered by fixing issues with flagging unset passwords.
- Network: Updated versions in the network stack and various backend components for improved stability and performance.

- HCL Domino Plug-In: Optimised to prevent unnecessary re-generation of licences and reduce CPU usage.
- Native Outlook extension: Increased speed on first open and fixed login issues related to saved searches to ensure smoother access.
- Folder Synchronisation: Fixed bug that generated warning messages for accounts without assigned mailboxes; these accounts are now automatically skipped if configured, improving system efficiency.

- Network Interfaces: In emergencies, the LAN interface can now switch to DHCP when no WAN interface is available, improving connectivity.
- Hardware Platform: Added support for newer hardware platforms and the latest VSTOR Vault models, expanding compatibility.
- Data Deletion: EMA can now generate erasure reports on demand, allowing for detailed data management.
- Mail Server Compatibility: Improved email recovery for servers supporting newer TLS versions.
- Mobile Apps: Further improvements for a better user experience.
- Delegate Synchronisation: Added support for OAUTH when synchronising with Microsoft 365 to increase security and usability.
Fixed Issues
- Mounting NFS Shares: Mount errors have been fixed to ensure smooth operation.
- Folder Synchronisation: Fixed an issue where files were not being purged when archiving in synchronous mode, improving organisation.
- WAN Synchronisation: Fixed an issue where long processing times for a document would cause the process to abort, improving stability.
- Network Interface (IPMI): The missing translation of the displayed text has been corrected for better comprehensibility.
- Connections from SMB/CIFS Shares: Fixed compatibility issues with very old versions.
- Configuration Backups: Resolved problems with restoring system configuration backups from AOS firmware versions older than 4.0.
- System Reboot: Fixed a bug that prevented the system from rebooting under certain rare conditions.
- SMTP Connection Drops: Minimised the creation of redundant files in the local cache when dropping incoming SMTP connections.
