Enhanced Functionality for Comprehensive Data Management with EMA

ARTEC IT Solutions Introduces ARTEC OS 6.1 Brimful with Enhanced Workflow and Security Features

Karben, 11 April 2023 - ARTEC IT Solutions, a pioneer in data management, data security, and live archiving, is introducing the most recent update with ARTEC OS 6.1 for its complete EMA solution. Designed for exhaustive information management, EMA encompasses the entire range of corporate data usage processes – from centralised data capture and efficient search capabilities to secure, compliance-approved storage and long-term archiving.

Chart Out Tasks and Processes with Attribute-Led Workflows

EMA 6.1 considerably broadens its attribute system (Enterprise Attribute Editor) to permit the straightforward implementation of the most intricate workflow situations. This improvement allows you to now painstakingly map out approval mechanisms, such as invoice verification in companies and organisations. Incoming invoices can be automatically linked to the relevant invoice assessors or account names through rule-based attribute allocation. As such, EMA functions as a potent workflow engine for distributing duties and facilitating personalised processes.

Effortless Integration with Active Directory Groups

This feature is further bolstered by the capability to link attribute-based user rights to the Active Directory groups to which the user belongs. This ensures that sensitive attributes are accessible solely to authorised users.

Simpler Compilation of Records and Departmental Archives

Furthermore, the launching of an improved attribute system in EMA 6.1 simplifies the compilation of records and specialised archives more than ever before. A novel functionality allows for an assortment of documents, no matter the type, to be interlinked and associated. Associated documents, once assigned with the correct linking attributes, can be accessed via the viewer at any given moment.

Enhanced Flexibility for Disaster Recovery Strategies

Security and disaster recovery features have also been enhanced in EMA 6.1. Firms and organisations utilising more than two duplicate data centre locations and/or exceeding two fire zones per data centre will discover additional flexibility in formulating their disaster recovery strategies, owing to the broadening of the EMA Hot Standby concept. EMA 6.1 accommodates an unlimited tally of standby devices with standalone storage systems. If a distinct disaster recovery site is lacking, an extra EMA instance can be initiated in the ARTEC Trusted Cloud.

Key New Features in EMA 6.1

  • Improved multi-tenancy features
  • GUI enhancements for mobile devices in the EMA application (available for Android and iOS/iPhone)
  • The capability to implement EMA within hyperscaler infrastructures
  • Extra features for Microsoft Office 365
  • Enhanced features for Case Management and eDiscovery
