EMA Data Management System Supports the XRechnung Format

New Standard for Electronic Invoices Allows for Highly Secure Archiving and Clear Visualization

Karben, 03 July 2024 – ARTEC IT Solutions, a specialist in data management and security, announces that the EMA live archive now supports the XRechnung standard for electronic invoices. This enables users to process invoices in XML format with EMA, adhering to all compliance requirements, and securely archive them digitally. In Germany, the issuance of electronic invoices in business-to-business (B2B) transactions will gradually become mandatory starting from January 1, 2025, as part of the Growth Opportunities Act.

Visualization and Categorization

Beyond just archiving, EMA offers a range of additional benefits when used with the XRechnung format. An XRechnung can be located within seconds in the archive and results are clearly displayed. The integrated attribute editor allows results to be tagged with metadata and keywords. This facilitates easy categorization, similar to other documents, and provides a better overview of payment flows.

Verifiable Authenticity

The use of digital signatures and electronic "time/date stamps" ensures traceability and tamper-proofing at all times. This allows the authenticity of an archived outgoing invoice in the XRechnung format to be verified at any time.

Conversion to PDF Format

In practice, there will still be workflows that require invoices on paper or in a human-readable format. Therefore, EMA also supports conversion to PDF format. This allows the relatively complex XML-format XRechnungen to be easily and quickly transformed into a readable and manageable format. This capability enables straightforward printing or sending via email without additional steps.
