EMA AOS 7 – The Archive for Google Drive, Teams and SharePoint
The next major release of our EMA firmware is just around the corner. Its development has been shaped by customer feedback alongside evolving technical and organisational demands. Our goal: to optimise the platform specifically for modern, distributed working environments.
Archiving for New Data Sources, Not Just Email
In many organisations today, business-critical information no longer lives solely in email inboxes or on file servers. AOS 7 significantly broadens the range of sources EMA can archive. Going forward, the following systems can be connected:
- Google Drive
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint Online / OneDrive
- SharePoint On-Premises
This makes EMA a central archive for collaborative content, regardless of where it originates or who works on it.
Secure Archiving Always Comes as Standard With Ema
Security features are built into every EMA deployment. AOS 7 takes this a step further:
New OAuth2 authentication enables modern single sign-on scenarios and integration with cloud-based identity providers. This simplifies user management and reduces the need for additional login credentials.
A Fresh Look for EMA Archiving
Alongside the functional enhancements, AOS 7.0 introduces a thoroughly redesigned user interface along with numerous refinements under the hood.
Digital Sovereignty for Europe, Made in Germany
With the latest version of the EMA archive, we continue to deliver digital sovereignty at the highest level. EMA is developed in Germany and can be hosted in data centers throughout the European Union.
Take Advantage of Our Anniversary Offer
To mark our 30th anniversary, we're giving all new and existing customers 30 days of EMA Cloud completely free until 30 June 2026. On top of that, the Cloud Connector and migration from your legacy archive are included at no extra cost during this period.
