Competitors offering archiving solutions continuously show off various certifications and seals of approval in advertisements. These then state that the advertised solutions are "audit-proof and legally compliant."
In this context, ARTEC strongly warns about believing such marketing claims without any independent verification. As of today, there are no special certifications or seals of approval that can prove that an archive is audit-proof and legally compliant. Rather, many seals of approval simply refer to general organizational processes and standards. This barely states anything about the true quality of an archiving solution.
Customers interested in purchasing an archiving solution should therefore never rely on certificates. Rather, it is important to pay close attention to which technical features an archiving solution offers in order to be legally compliant.
